Nelson Mandela turning points

Turning points and Achievements.

Turning points:
  • When his father died he was groomed to be the chief of the local tribe.
  • Whilst at university Nelson Mandela became increasingly aware of the unjust nature of South African Society.
  • Mandela involved in the politics.
  • Nelson Mandela helped found the ANC YL.
  • Mandela had to resign from the ANC and work underground.
  • Mandela was charged with treason.
  • The massacre changed the political climate and led Mandella to advocate armed struggle.
  • In 1962 he was arrested in the prison of Robbin Island.
  • In 1990 he was released from the jail.
  • Mandela even he was a president but he could not improve the life of black people.
  • Nelson Mandela lost his eldest son because of the HIV epidemic disease.
  • Nelson mandela retiered from the office.
  • Nelson Mandela associated in many educational programmes.
Achievements:
  • Nelson Mandela finished his degree and become a lawyer.
  • Mandela open the first law firm in South Africa in 1952.
  • Nelson Mandela helped found the ANC YL.
  • Conducting their own defence they eventually proved to be victorious. 
  • While Mandela was in the prison he tried to keep other men's spirit high.
  • In 1994 he was elected as the first democratically president.
  •  He is one of the few politicians who have gone beyond a political role; he is widely admired and has received many prestigious awards. 
  • In 1993 he was awarded the Noble Peace Prize.

Albert Namatjira timeline biography

1902- was born.
1905- was received into Lutheran church.
1915- spent 6 months in the bush and underwent daughters.
1920-married to IIkalita.
1936- accompanied Battarbie as a cameleer.
1944- was included WHO'S who in Australia
1949-1950 refused a grazing license.
1951- prevented from building a house on a land he bought in alice spring.
1953-awarded by the Queen.
1954- presented to the Queen.
1955- elected an Honory member of the Royal Society of New south Wales.
1957-granted to led to further anomalies.
1958-was charged with supplying alcohol.
1959-served two month of open detention.
1959- died.
